Zhejiang Hwacheon Semicon Materials Co., Ltd. was established in July 2025 as a Sino-Korean joint venture (with the Chinese side holding 55% of the shares). The Chinese shareholder, Zhejiang Runyou New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., was founded in 2022 and is a high-tech enterprise integrating scientific research, production, and sales of high-end quartz raw materials and deep-processed products. It has established a joint research and development center with the State Key Laboratory of Silicon and Advanced Semiconductor Materials at Zhejiang University, with Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and semiconductor materials scientist Yang Deren serving as the company's chief scientist. The company has gathered a team of over 20 PhDs and has obtained more than 20 patents in key areas such as quartz material purification processes and crystal defect control. The Korean shareholder, Seong Hyun Technology Co., LTD, was established in 2015, headquartered in Incheon, South Korea, and specializes in the production of semiconductor etching process equipment and silicon consumable components (electrodes, silicon rings, etc.), among which CSR (high-end silicon rings, one of the key technologies for developing domestically-made 3D-NAND flash etching equipment) holds an approximately 65% share of the international market.

The total investment of the project is 200 million yuan, renting 8,000 square meters of factory space in the Loongson Intelligent Industrial Park to build a research and production center for key consumables in semiconductor wafer manufacturing. The core products include silicon rings, silicon electrodes, and high-end gate rings, which are widely used in critical processes such as etching in wafer manufacturing.

Among them, curved electrodes and high-end gate ring products will effectively fill the domestic technical and supply gaps in this field, break through the 'bottleneck' stages, and have important strategic significance for ensuring the security of China's semiconductor industry chain.

OneSemicon, officially known as SEONGHYUN TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD, was established in 2015 and has two production bases in Incheon and Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. It primarily produces silicon components for semiconductor etching equipment, including silicon electrodes, silicon rings, and C-type rings.

The Incheon Factory and Hwaseong Factory have a total investment of 62 million RMB, covering the entire manufacturing process of silicon components.

Among them, the Incheon factory covers an area of 4,050㎡ and is mainly responsible for front-end processes such as grinding, drilling, molding, and end-face machining; the Hwaseong factory covers an area of 3,000㎡ and is mainly responsible for back-end processes such as polishing, etching, and cleaning.

Hwacheon Semicon - Product Production Roadmap

After the Hwacheon Semicon production line officially starts, initial production will begin with products that are easier to process, such as flat electrodes, CSR, and other silicon rings; after the Phase 2 equipment expansion and once the production line stabilizes, more difficult-to-process products, such as curved electrodes and Ground Rings, will be gradually produced. Once the proficiency of production line employees improves, high-end silicon components can be custom-manufactured according to customer requirements.
